Wow. It's March 1st in your world already? And I thought San Francisco is in the same timezone as Vancouver! LOL, jkjk. But I'm so glad you're back! Nothing beats a daily dose of beautiful dresses and cute shoes. Am completely in love with the black&whtie dress (3rd one from the left)! The pink pumps looks similiar to a pair of Dior pink patent pumps that came out circa 2003/04. But Betsey Johnson makes everything just SO much cuter!

I LOVE that blue dress. And those gloves, I have that spread in an inspiration journal. The gloves and the funky (awesome) heart headband were my favorite parts. I'd be interested to see how the top hat is pulled off, so when prom finally comes, I'll make the decision for you and say pictures are a must.

Aw. I remember my prom. Man. Best time ever (senior prom), especially since I went with my gay guy-friend. Junior prom isn't that big of a deal at my school. In fact it was pretty lame and a waste of money. But every school is different. Your dress sounds like it will be amazing. Aw. You inspire me to do a prom post. That'll just have to wait til May, where I can relive all my sweet memories.

go without a date! you'll have a much better time with your girls. i had stupid boys as prom dates and look back on it as the dumbest thing ever. think i would have had a much better time by myself.

i didn't go to prom (junior year), but i did go to ball senior year. i just went with my friends, no date, and it was SUCH a fun night. i loved not having to worry about who i was with.

Blue dress fo shiz!
My prom was fun, wasn't so long ago and I remember my date wearing something slightly avant-garde, in terms of the usual prom color choices. Le sigh, it was a local designer original though (she showed me this huge box it came in) and had people gasping, haha not really but I had an awesome time still. Couldn't have asked for more.

Oh, this is off-topic, but I was wondering if you knew anything about the National Student Leadership Conference? I received an invitation to it, but I have many other things piled up on my plate this summer, so I'm not sure if attending the conference would be a good idea. So any information that you know about it would be very helpful to me. Thanks! :]

I have to say that I'm a little disappointed! Pastels, Polka-dots, pearls and a poofy dress? It's hardly original... although the top hat could spice it up a bit. I do like your style in general, it just seems like you could be a bit more adventurous...?

It's not particularly prestigious if you're looking for prestige (almost anyone can get invited), but I heard it's a really enriching experience if you don't party the whole time and you really apply yourself. MissK: This prom outfit is about being me and having the night of my life in an outfit that is me. What do you mean by more "adventurous" -- can you give me any suggestions then? I truly believe that being adventurous is overrated for many reasons though -- one of which being that confidence and looking good does not have to come with the avant-garde. My style is very classic, tailored, and girly -- and it works very well for me :].
