Oh Noel. I've loved your blog ever since I first came on it, because you're everything I aspire to be: classy, eloquent, hard-working (such an understatement!)... but you still make mistakes. And you apologise for them.
Your upbringing is certainly different to a lot of people reading your blog, and I think that's why some things really strike a chord when you write a perhaps flippant comment referencing this.

This post nearly had a little tear in my eye :] (although the fact that it's rather late and I still have a lot of homework to do, when all I really want to do is go to bed and read might have something to do with it). I can tell that your have such a big love for all your family and friends, and it's truly touching.

I know this came out as sappy and cheesy, but, well, I just wanted to tell you what I really think.

Happy thanksgiving (although I'm in Europe and don't celebrate it :] )

Even though I would love to go out shopping just right now, I can't because no one can take me out. Even realizing that this year's Black Friday prices will be the cheapest because of the economy right now didn't make me think so clearly either.

    But now I do.

One person leaves a negative comment on that last post and you act like the whole internet is in uproar

Well I don't know about you, but I don't like to offend my own blog readers in such serious issues.

If you want to be thankful for Black Friday sales, then be thankful for them! I know I am!

There is no need to apologize for anything, dear. People should stop being so ridiculously critical of other people.

While I agree that you don't need to apologize to your readers because you lead a different (far more monetarily privileged) life, this post came across as so arrogant, essentially reading "Sorry I'm so rich!" I like your blog, but I do turn on my spoiled rich girl filter from time to time.

what eh-ver. the Black Friday sales are a fashionista's dream! If people want to bitch about the economy then don't read a blog about style and shopping. I happen to be thrilled with the current retail happenings. XOXO

Noel, when are you going to learn not to respond to the negative comments? Fuck them. Who cares? You're just fueling the fire by making posts whenever anyone leaves you a mean comment. The haters are so clearly jealous of you. Stop indulging them by justifying yourself every time one of them says something stupid.
