I remember when both shows were on . . . in the same time slot on the same day. It was that event that lead me to not watch either Lipstick Jungle or Cashmiere Mafia

Casmere Mafia isnt on TV anymore? what!

I love Lipstick Jungle! Victory is so cute to me! LOL. Asians are cool and I'm glad they are more than just nerds and karate queens.

i love cashmere mafia but the first EP of lipstick jungle bored me to tears.

are they not finished the rest of the episodes for cashmere mafia? they only made 7/13 :(

Drat. And here my blog got so many hits thanks to Cashmere Mafia!

I think a lot of young people associate themselves more with Victory because she tries to prove herself. Mia, on the hand, has already proven her capabilities and is now trying to make a place for the modern woman in a modern man's world.

I am in love with Lipstick Jungle. I find it a good alternative to Sex and the City repeats. Lipstick Jungle was originally a novel written By Candace Bushnell; I tried reading it a couple of times, but for some reason it didn't appeal to me. The show is so much better and Victoria Ford has the most amazing outfits ever!

I'm not surprised that Cashmere Mafia was pulled... I only watched the one episode but I found the characterisation and writing to be trite and cliched....

asian spotting on tv is always lots of fun. being asian myself, i love seeing asians on tv shows, and i always find myself rooting for the asians in reality tv shows (like project runway)

I don't know. Lipstick Jungle isn't as up beat as Cashmere Mafia was. Although people criticize it for being so cliche, I liked that it was cliche and I knew what to expect--most of the time. I just miss Lucy Liu's character's outfits the most. There are no Carrie Bradshaw-esque risk takers on Lipstick Jungle.

    Cocaine:
    Wow, talk about competition!
    Coutureeyourself:
    Nope, it's gone.
    Jordan:
    Victory is quite adorable :].
    Plee:
I've been on that website before! It's really interesting but innovative.
    elizabeth ann:
Nope, no more, I believe =/.
    Wendyb:
    Hahaha :].
    Linda:
Actually, Victoria is one of the top designers and was named one of the top 50 most powerful women in NYC, so I don't think she needs to prove her capabilities -- she's just working really hard as always without any of Mia's overconfidence.
    Laura:
I must say though, Patricia Field & Mia Mason > Victory Ford =/.
    Susie_Bubble:
Yeah, it was extremely predictable and overdone but I still enjoyed it.
    Miss Kiwi:
    I agree!
    Secretista:
That's very true -- I miss Mia's outfits. Victory has cute style though, but nothing like Cashmere Mafia.
    Lilly:
I always use this recipe as a base:

I have to say, I loved Cashmere Mafia while it was around even though it was a little cliched. I haven't watched Lipstick Jungle yet, but I hear from my mother that it's good.

I love your blog as a whole, I'd love to trade links =)

I didn't like Cashmere Mafia very much at all. It was very boring and cliche, but I was very interested in Lipstick Jungle. It, too, is cliche, but it's a little more real than Mafia and seems to have a bit more scandal.

Yep, that's me. Can't resist scandal.
