HOLY SHIT. YOU ARE JUST SHY OF A MOTHER FREAKIN PERFECT SCORE!!! So prouddd *tear*. You remind me of a friend from high school. She got a darn near perfect score also, did all these activities and now she's a Freshman at Harvard!

I did bad on the SATS. Partialy because I was anti-SAT. I don't believe a standarize test can tell you anything about a student, especially one like me who was more involved in student council than the freakin class officers! But, I'M SO PROUD OF YOU DEAR!

    wow. excellent scores.

I'm always a bit wary of trying new hair styles mid school year, but I want to do something new with my hair at the beginning of the summer.

Anyway, glad you're going to pamper yourself. The cupcakes are such a sweet idea! Love that. And, I don't know much about the SAT's (I don't take my PSAT's til next year), but glad you got a good score!

I'm expecting my HSA (highschool assessment, there are 4 you need to graduate) soon, the first one I've taken. I know the teachers got the scores, but I'm not sure when I'll get mine back.

Not to be rude, but i dont think posting your exact SAT scores is necessary for the enhancement of your blog.

Your blog is a frequent read of mine and I enjoy reading your engaging fashion posts. I also like the fact that you can extend it outside of the restraints of the fashion industry to your day-to-day life. Usually, it makes it easier for the reader to relate, become engaged, and contribute feedback.

However (whether you realize it or agree/disagree with me), your posts can sometimes have a bit of an elitist tone. This is an example of that--you are clearly within the absolute highest score percentile, and that's something you should be proud of, especially since you worked extremely hard. You are well-qualified for all of the top schools in the world, which should be gratifying. Yet I don't understand the necessity of posting such specifics when this is the case. Do you really need our gushing commentary to truly reach satisfaction? I think it would be more adequate in this case to briefly describe your stress and then maybe a mention that the results do make you competitive for your college choices. And I still think you would receive the high-spirited and encouraging reaction you appear to desire.

More importantly, while you may believe you are reaching out to the reader by sharing such specifics of your personal life, I think it backfires. We already know you are a talented and hard worked from your (fashion-related) pursuits and gains, such as the Seventeen internship. However, I think the fact that you posted this information actually alienates the reader, because a very small percentage can acheive the standard that you have, not to mention makes you appear slightly egotistical, immature, and desperate.

Sorry for so large a response; I just want to make sure you understand where I'm coming from. Don't think that I am being hostile; think of it more as constructive criticism. I would assume that as a future editor and influence in the fashion industry, you would want to strive for the best way to reach your readers--and frankly, this is not it. Not to mention that, although you are a typical perfectionist and there is no harm in trying your hardest, the fact that you were this distraught over test scores that you have many opportunities to retake if need be genuinely makes me worry about what this time next year for you will be like.

I'm sure you will not agree with me, but please don't too defensive because I'm not trying to be rude or demeaning--just an opinion to consider.

    Thanks for your thoughts, hun!
For the posting of my SAT scores -- I don't tend to write about my "stress" because my blog is my stress reliever. I also tend to keep my stress to myself -- I put myself up for these high expectations, and it's really no excuse for me to complain about being stressed everyday. 'Tis far better to rejoice in happiness :]. I know you think it's "elitist" that I posted my SAT scores -- needless to say, I worked VERY hard for these scores and my parents even grounded me for the whole year because they forced me to work hard for the SATs.

I do not have a chance to retake the SATs because all of my other testing dates are reserved for my SAT subject tests -- and because my parents wouldn't allow me to live in NYC this summer if I didn't get a score about 2300+. They grounded me and actually yelled at me almost everyday until I got my SAT scores back -- I'm sorry you don't like the posting of my scores, but wow I have extreme pressure and my score really is a big achievement and relief for me.

That said, this blog is also partially my personal blog. I understand that you don't like some of my posts -- but this is where I can escape from the pressures of society for a moment. I really don't need another person to tell me how to write on my own blog, as much as I appreciate your input and I see your point.

If I did achieve my dream as a fashion editor someday, I highly doubt that I'd write about mundane topics such as my graduate thesis grade in the magazine I edit -- but this is my personal blog -- a blog that I only started to record my life and dreams and practice writing and never anticipated that I would receive so many readers. I'm not going to change my blog for these reasons.

I don't need "gushing commentary" -- to tell you the truth, I only expect my readers to comment on my fashion-related posts -- it's what most of them come here for, anyways.

Lastly, what is your name? I'm sorry but I like to connect with my readers on a first name basis.

Next time, I'd prefer if you could email me though and get back to me personally -- do you know how much time I spend replying back to so many of these comments, some of which are constructive and some of which are just offensive? I feel that I should not have to explain myself to anonymous readers when I purposely and truthfully reveal myself to my readers.

Thanks so much for reading, dear :].

considered yourself emailed as of tomorrow afternoon/evening...it's late so im kind of worried about making absolutely no sense, haha.

Congrats on those sky high SAT scores!

I just want to say that even if you are your harshest critic, remember to love yourself! In some ways, we are all we have. So take care of yourself and be proud of yourself!
